About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
- Maintain and improve engineering documentation, including product engineering standards and manufacturing BOMs.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles to boost quality and shorten cycle times.
- Manage CAPEX budgets and capital projects, including planning, prioritizing, and execution.
- Partner with Operations to provide technical expertise for plant layouts, equipment upgrades, and feasibility studies.
- Analyze workforce utilization, space needs, and workflow to create safe and efficient working environments.
- Support new product introductions and stabilize existing manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, ideally within plastics, extrusion, or similar industrial environments.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD 2D.
- Hands-on experience managing CAPEX budgets and capital projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of automation, digitalization, and equipment specification.
- Familiarity with ISO processes, auditing procedures, and data management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve process challenges.
