About the role
Responsibilities
- Generate and evaluate innovative technologies for PVC, auxiliary services, and energy processes to maintain technological leadership and competitiveness.
- Manage authorized process projects (PVC Plant, Auxiliary Services, Tepeal, and Energy) from proposal to implementation, ensuring low investment costs and high safety standards.
- Conduct technical-economic studies to evaluate project feasibility and coordinate costings for equipment, materials, and labor.
- Perform technical evaluations and studies to optimize processes or correct deviations through work requests.
- Develop basic and detailed engineering for process changes, including coordination with mechanical, civil, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines.
- Ensure all process changes and optimizations comply with safety, ecology, and environmental regulations (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
- Analyze process variable trends, energy consumption, and plant efficiency through balances and technical studies.
- Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment and oversee the construction and commissioning of new systems.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of unit operations (solids handling, fluid flow, mass and heat transfer).
- Experience with PVC manufacturing processes and cogeneration.
- Proficiency with Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
- Ability to apply statistical techniques for process analysis.
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation and process equipment (pumps, centrifuges, agitators, etc.).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
