Process Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, optimization, and governance of scientific molding principles across injection molding and structural foam operations.
• Manage, coach, and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical direction and workload prioritization.
• Serve as the primary technical expert for diagnosing complex molding problems using viscosity curves, pressure analysis, and cavity balance studies.
• Drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by reducing downtime and optimizing machine performance.
• Partner with corporate engineering and tooling vendors to ensure new mold designs meet manufacturability and scientific molding requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including setup instructions, control plans, and validation reports.
• Lead cross-functional scrap reduction initiatives and ensure effective closure of corrective actions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on injection molding experience with a proven history of driving performance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Advanced understanding of Scientific Molding principles and data-driven manufacturing methods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Moldflow or other CAD software.
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
