About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead process safety performance and participate in all plant HSE functions and activities.
- Troubleshoot process and quality problems in the manufacturing process and facilitate Root Cause Analyses.
- Track, control, and report on key performance metrics including energy consumption and financial KPIs.
- Provide technical support for the development, execution, and commissioning of capital projects.
- Manage environmental compliance by compiling and reporting air, water, and solid waste data to regulatory entities.
- Support wastewater treatment (WWT) and plant utility operations, including boilers, cooling water, and compressed air.
- Drive Management of Change (MOC) and participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA).
- Develop standard operating procedures, best practices, and technical training for operators.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Experience reading and developing P&IDs.
- Ability to perform heat and material balances around unit operations.
- Working knowledge of wastewater treatment operations and environmental regulations.
- Knowledge of plant utilities such as boilers, water softeners, and chilled water.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (documents, spreadsheets, and presentations).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
