About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead process evaluation and design efforts across all phases of the project lifecycle for industrial water projects.
- Perform complex engineering design tasks, including mass and energy balance calculations and hydraulic calculations.
- Develop engineering documents, specifications, drawings, and P&IDs.
- Support business development by participating in proposal management, scoping of work, and labor hour estimates.
- Assist project managers with managing project scope, budgets, staffing, and schedules.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews on assigned projects and technical documents.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies regarding the permitting process and project approvals.
- Prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of total professional experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
- Ability to perform mass and energy balance calculations.
- Detailed knowledge of developing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within 12 months.
- At least 2 years of operational experience.
- Experience with specialized software such as Fathom, Arrow, ASPEN, or OLI.
