Process Engineer (Simulation Modeling)

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and maintain complex simulation models of metallurgical manufacturing processes, including casting, coating, and heat treatment.
• Analyze simulation results to provide data-driven recommendations for process adjustments and capital equipment investments.
• Identify opportunities for improving process quality, reducing costs, and increasing throughput by analyzing production data and simulation outputs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design teams to implement process changes and support design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Manage process improvement projects from conception through implementation, ensuring all technical documentation is maintained.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to lower-level professionals and communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Science Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in a process engineering role within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with process simulation software and 3D modeling tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects and work independently on technical challenges.
• Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
• Ability to obtain necessary export licenses from the Department of Commerce or Department of State if required.
