Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design new chemical processes and optimize existing unit operations to enhance efficiency, safety, and yield
• Provide process engineering expertise for rotating equipment such as pumps and compressors
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot failures in collaboration with Maintenance and Reliability teams
• Analyze high-volume process data to identify trends and implement corrective actions
• Lead investigations into complex operational problems and process deviations
• Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) to ensure safety and environmental compliance
• Manage engineering projects focused on process improvement or new technology implementation
• Collaborate with Automation teams on the design and implementation of DCS and PLC systems

Requirements

• Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and unit operations
• Expertise in chemical plant equipment, particularly rotating equipment
• Demonstrated experience in a chemical plant or high-volume manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in process control systems (DCS, PLC) and data analysis tools
• Experience with Google and Microsoft applications
• Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and execute technical projects
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and data analysis skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
