Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Elaborate, define, size, and validate technical deliverables and units within a process team
• Develop Heat and Material Balances using process simulation software
• Create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) to optimize feedstock conversion
• Define and size equipment and instrumentation, issuing relevant Process Data sheets
• Elaborate Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Perform hydraulic and thermal calculations on piping systems for steady-state and transient operations
• Define utility requirements and design associated systems
• Determine quantities and characteristics of environmental effluents
• Prepare Operating Manuals and Test Run procedures
• Check the technical quality of calculations and simulations produced by junior engineers
• Participate in multidisciplinary project reviews, including HAZOP and 3D Model reviews

Requirements

• Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Process Engineer within EPC/EPCI, Oil & Gas, Energy, or Industrial projects
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Strong knowledge of process simulation tools
• Experience with P&IDs and hydraulic/thermal calculations
• Ability to work effectively within multinational, multidisciplinary project teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Familiarity with HAZOP and multidisciplinary engineering reviews
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
