Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the process technology owner for production sites, ensuring compliance with legal obligations, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Lead the Management of Change (MOC) process for equipment, processes, products, and raw materials.
• Define and establish critical process variables, including methods for measurement, monitoring, and control.
• Monitor process performance to detect improvement opportunities and establish actionable plans.
• Contribute as a technical expert to HAZOP processes and implement recommendations from Process Risk Analyses.
• Analyze process and quality failures to determine root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Support the validation of conceptual and basic engineering and assist project engineers with commissioning activities.
• Evaluate the performance of unit operations, critical variables, and deviations in production costs.
• Promote process innovation to strengthen the company's competitive position.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Engineering (10 years preferred).
• English proficiency at a B1 level.
• Strong knowledge of Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
• Experience with PLC and DCS process control systems.
• Advanced understanding of HAZOP, PSM standards, and process safety information (PSI), including P&IDs.
• Proven experience in unit operations, thermodynamic cycles, and physicochemical processes.
• Experience in high-temperature processes or similar industrial environments.
• Proficiency in designing process equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, and tanks.
