Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support for medical and non-medical operating areas at the Runcorn site.
• Deliver day-to-day technical support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for operating assets.
• Manage and execute projects and modifications from concept through to implementation.
• Conduct investigations into deviations and identify effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Develop and optimize technical and managerial reports, including OEE and audit documentation.
• Support and deputize for Technical Plant Managers to ensure safe, reliable, and cGMP compliant operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain SHEQ and cGMP document libraries and support regulatory audits.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience within the chemicals or process industry in a technical capacity.
• Proven experience working on or supporting operating chemical assets.
• Demonstrated history of delivering engineering projects or modifications.
• Strong technical report writing skills and experience with root cause analysis.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Process Safety Management systems (e.g., HAZOP, Management of Change, DSEAR).
• Knowledge of continuous improvement or LEAN principles.
• Experience with cGMP and/or COMAH environments.
• Familiarity with alarm management, SIS, and reliability engineering.
