Process Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day problem-solving support to production operations
• Analyze data to understand process capability and monitor trends to drive manufacturing excellence
• Identify process improvement and cost reduction projects using the scientific method to test hypotheses
• Prepare cost justifications and capital requests for new equipment purchases
• Oversee the implementation of new equipment, including design, specification, purchasing, and qualification
• Interface with operators, team leaders, and peers to implement process, equipment, or safety improvements
• Support the transfer of new cabling technology, materials, or processes from development to production
• Develop and maintain production documentation including SOPs, PMs, and calibration records

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field
• 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong technical fundamentals with process engineering skills
• Creative and innovative problem-solving abilities
• Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and integrate solutions
• Results-oriented mindset with a high level of commitment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with statistical packages such as Minitab or JMP
• Proficiency in structured problem-solving methodologies like DMAIC or PDCA
• Knowledge of plastic extrusion, cabling processes, or UV curable technologies
• Six Sigma Greenbelt certification or equivalent experience
• Experience with project management, including cost estimation and execution
• Familiarity with programming languages or PLCs in a manufacturing setting
