Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Apply General Motors Manufacturing System (GMS) principles to eliminate waste and standardize processes
• Conduct in-depth process engineering analyses, including PFMEA, cycle time studies, and bottleneck identification
• Manage existing processes and develop opportunities to improve uptimes, cycle times, and throughput
• Implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance to resolve issues in a unionized environment
• Prepare detailed analyses related to manufacturing processes and projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or a related field preferred)
• Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the automotive industry
• Demonstrated experience with GMS or similar lean manufacturing methodologies
• Expertise in process optimization, troubleshooting, and engineering techniques
• Experience leading and facilitating Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
