Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a central interface between production, R&D, and quality assurance
• Manage the scale-up process of new products from lab scale to full production implementation
• Plan, organize, and implement sample component coatings in the Coating Center
• Develop innovative production and coating processes and transition them into series production
• Standardize, analyze, and continuously optimize existing manufacturing processes to reduce production times and minimize defective batches
• Identify, evaluate, and introduce new measurement and testing methods to determine relevant process parameters
• Perform statistical process control (SPC) based on process data and initiate improvement measures
• Support production in the implementation of Lean Management methods and workflows
• Ensure compliance with all relevant IATF standard requirements within the area of responsibility

Requirements

• Degree in Process Engineering, Coating Technology, Surface Technology, Technical Chemistry, or a comparable qualification
• Practical experience in coating or surface technology is preferred
• Solid understanding of chemical batch production processes
• Knowledge of measurement, testing, and control methods, as well as statistical experimental design and evaluation
• Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills
• Team-oriented personality with an independent and solution-oriented working style
• Fluency in German or English (written and spoken)
