Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and implement plant and process improvements for Veramaris technology, focusing on downstream processes and efficiency optimization
• Add value through process monitoring, root cause analysis, statistical process control, and mass balance calculations
• Generate ideas and manage small capital projects to improve debottlenecking, cost efficiency, and production throughput
• Initiate, plan, and document lab, pilot, production, and external tests
• Collaborate closely with production and technical plant teams for troubleshooting and concept development
• Support the introduction of new technologies and facilitate best practice sharing between production sites
• Ensure all improvement activities consider ESHQ aspects and comply with established guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
• 4 years of experience in industrial biotechnology
• Experience in large-scale bioproduct manufacturing within a biorefinery or similar campus setup
• Expertise in batch bioprocess scale-up from lab to commercial scale
• Proficiency with data historians and trending software
• Experience driving continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., RCA, OEE)
• Knowledge of ESHQ, OSHA, FAMI-QS, and ISO regulations
