Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive projects to achieve manufacturing performance goals for both new and existing processes
• Identify process limitations and recommend solutions to overcome equipment and capability constraints
• Lead initiatives for yield optimization, cost reduction, and continuous process improvement
• Apply root cause analysis and problem-solving skills to address process challenges
• Manage critical engineering and development projects aligned with long-term plant objectives
• Partner with cross-functional teams on new product launches, raw material changes, and equipment modifications

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in ceramic, materials, chemical engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of engineering problem-solving tools such as DMAIC, scientific method, and error proofing
• US Citizenship is required for this position
• Proven ability to analyze data and draw actionable conclusions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• Experience with hypothesis testing, experiment planning, and statistical analysis
• Project management skills
• Ability to work effectively within a unionized manufacturing setting
