Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of existing optical fiber and connector assembly products and processes.
• Provide day-to-day technical support and problem-solving for production, development, and research operations.
• Lead new product introductions, including equipment installation, process certification, and production ramp-up.
• Implement and document material, process, and equipment changes while ensuring alignment with documented standards.
• Utilize statistical tools and Design of Experiments (DOE) for process problem-solving and improvement.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and modify assembly drawings.
• Monitor and analyze process performance data to provide early warnings of deviations.
• Support supply chain and customer service with order reviews and customized order coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Science in Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in process engineering or related manufacturing engineering (process, material, control, or mechanical).
• Knowledge and experience in optical fiber and connector assembly and testing.
• Practical experience with DMAIC methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of quality and EHS management systems such as ISO9001 and ISO14001.
• Proficiency in process/quality/cost control tools including SPC, DOE, FMEA, and TQM.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• DMAIC certification.
• Proven experience in project team leadership.
