Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor process performance, troubleshoot abnormalities, and lead root-cause analysis
• Lead or support Process Safety Management activities including PHA, MOC, PSSR, and Mechanical Integrity
• Identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, capacity, and cost
• Provide process input to capital projects from front-end engineering through commissioning
• Design and run plant trials, improve operating procedures, and update technical documentation
• Support emissions reduction, energy efficiency, and environmental performance initiatives

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
• 5–10 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing technology, or reliability
• At least 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing plant as a process engineer or equivalent
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex process problems
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
• Hands-on mindset with the ability to work effectively with operators, maintenance, and engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in elastomers, monomers, reliability, or data analytics
• Experience running plant trials and supporting capital projects
• Working knowledge of DCS batch logic systems
• Experience with polymerization technologies
• Familiarity with continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies
