About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform workflow and throughput analysis, including time-and-motion studies and bottleneck identification across vehicle prep, dispatch, and deployment loops.
  • Design and apply structured root cause analysis (RCA) frameworks to identify recurring failures and cross-program patterns.
  • Develop measurement frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs to instrument operational performance and validate process changes.
  • Create scalable process templates, including SOP structures, runbooks, and checklist templates.
  • Drive continuous improvement by applying Lean or Six Sigma rigor to operational challenges.
  • Identify and implement solutions that address common problems across Test, Build, Fleet Reliability, and On-Road Deployment verticals.

Requirements

  • BS in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable operational analyst role.
  • Demonstrated application of Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent continuous improvement methodologies in a production or operational environment.
  • Proven track record of conducting time-and-motion studies, bottleneck analyses, and root cause investigations.
  • Strong data fluency with the ability to pull, structure, and interpret operational data using spreadsheets.
  • Experience designing measurement frameworks and KPIs for operational teams.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, structured findings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in automotive, robotics, autonomous vehicles, manufacturing, or aerospace.
  • Experience scaling operations from pilot stages through commercial deployment.
  • Familiarity with fleet operations, vehicle servicing, or test and deployment cycles.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
  • MS in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or Mechanical Engineering.
