Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement equipment and process solutions to improve safety, ergonomics, operational cost, and throughput.
• Drive standardization and documentation to ensure consistency in equipment specifications across the Japan network.
• Manage cross-functional projects from concept through implementation, coordinating with Engineering, Operations, and Tech teams.
• Identify operational pain points through data analysis and site visits to develop creative engineering solutions.
• Provide technical expertise and regular progress updates to leadership regarding network-wide engineering roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
• 4+ years of experience as an industrial, operations, manufacturing, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies and data-driven problem solving.
• Proven experience managing projects from conception to completion.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
• Business level English (written and verbal).
• Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N4+ level).

Preferred Qualifications

• Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL.
• Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience working with material handling equipment (MHE) safety standards.
• Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders.
• Knowledge of safety standards and ergonomic design principles.
