Process Development Senior Scientist

Responsibilities

• Invent synthetic routes and develop robust, sustainable, and cost-effective processes for antibody drug conjugates (ADCs), peptide antibody conjugates, synthetic peptides, and oligonucleotides.
• Drive technology innovation in the synthesis, purification, and characterization of bioconjugates and hybrid modalities.
• Support cGMP manufacturing and technology transfer to internal facilities and external contract manufacturers.
• Advance enabling technologies to improve process efficiency and pharmaceutical development sustainability.
• Ensure process performance through detailed modeling, characterization, and data interpretation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with synthetic chemists, chemical engineers, and analytical chemists to deliver regulatory documents and support filings.

Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, or MD (with relevant post-doc where applicable).
• Alternatively, a Master's degree with 3 years of scientific experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of scientific experience.
• Expertise in organic chemistry, chemical biology, or biochemistry.
• Experience in peptide or oligonucleotide synthesis.
• Proficiency in analytical characterization techniques including HPLC, SEC, LC-MS, and IEX.

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-doctoral experience in an academic laboratory or pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
• Extensive hands-on expertise in the synthesis and purification of peptides, oligonucleotides, or ADCs.
• Experience with bio-conjugation techniques.
• Familiarity with laboratory automation and data visualization tools.
• A track record of peer-reviewed publications and research presentations.
