About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop fabrication processes for cutting-edge magnetic sensors and products for industrial, medical, and consumer applications.
  • Lead projects from initial concept through to high-volume fabrication release.
  • Collaborate with device experts and designers to determine process requirements and device specifications.
  • Partner with the process engineering group to bring new magnetoresistive sensor fabrication processes to volume production.
  • Work with the Quality department to determine stress and test methods and collaborate with Failure Analysis engineers to improve process robustness and reliability.
  • Communicate development project progress effectively to management and customers.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronic, Microelectronics, Mechanical, Physics, or Applied Physics) with >5 years of R&D experience, or a PhD.
  • Proven expertise in magnetic materials and/or systems development and characterization.
  • Experience in magnetic field sensor development and characterization.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to share technical knowledge across multidisciplinary teams.
  • High attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a clean room environment.
  • Proficiency with wafer-level processing tools including PVD, photolithography, and etch.
  • Hands-on experience with material characterization and process control tools such as XRD, XRR, CDSEM, and MOKE.
  • Experience in process control development and implementation.
