Process Development Engineer II, Analytical Sciences

Responsibilities

• Serve as the analytical lead to develop fit-for-purpose analytical methods to characterize critical intermediates, including small molecules, siRNA, and peptides.
• Design and execute analytical testing, method development, and characterization to support a growing bioconjugate pipeline.
• Compile, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to propose actionable next steps for drug development.
• Coordinate internal and external analytical deliverables, including method transfer and troubleshooting with CDMOs.
• Author high-quality technical documentation such as procedures, method development reports, and characterization reports.
• Provide technical support to receiving labs and mentor junior team members.
• Maintain lab safety compliance and support equipment upkeep and resource planning.

Requirements

• B.S. with 6+ years of relevant experience, or M.S. with 4+ years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or chemical engineering.
• Hands-on experience with analytical method development for synthetic molecules (e.g., small molecules, PEG, peptides, or oligos).
• Proficiency with analytical techniques including electrophoresis, HPLC, MS, and UV spectroscopy.
• Experience with Empower software and associated analytical tools.
• Demonstrated experience serving as an analytical lead and working with external CDMOs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with antibodies and/or bioconjugates.
