About the role

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Drug Substance Process Development for late-stage clinical and commercial biologics programs
  • Perform small-scale bioprocess experiments encompassing both upstream (cell culture) and downstream (purification) operations
  • Maintain cultures in shake flasks, culture bags, and benchtop bioreactors
  • Execute purification experiments including protein chromatography, filtration, and UF/DF operations
  • Utilize automation programming for bioreactors, chromatography systems, and robotic liquid handling
  • Conduct experimental design and data interpretation using visualization and analytics tools
  • Communicate findings through oral presentations and written technical or GMP documentation
  • Provide scientific technical support for technology transfer to manufacturing sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (must be completed by August 2026) OR Associate's degree with 2 years of scientific experience OR High school diploma/GED with 4 years of scientific experience
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture or purification operations
  • Understanding of protein chromatography and filtration principles
  • Ability to identify and solve problems using scientific and engineering principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • Familiarity with design of experiments (DoE) and statistical analysis of data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working in a collaborative, dynamic environment
