Process Development and Scale-Up Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify and screen new process concepts to meet future business needs and strategic opportunities
• Evaluate process configuration options via flowsheet synthesis to identify leading development paths
• Assess technology integration into existing operations and determine implications for process configuration
• Execute methodologies to assess the commercial feasibility of new concepts
• Determine key parameters for process scale-up from pilot or demo scale to commercial volumes
• Establish and execute experimental and modeling plans to address technical uncertainties
• Optimize processes consistent with business and program objectives
• Identify and define key process and plant integration issues to coordinate with partner projects

Requirements

• PhD in Chemical Engineering or equivalent degree/work experience
• Expertise in process conceptualization and flowsheet synthesis
• Experience in lab-scale and pilot unit design and operations
• Expertise in unit operations development and design
• Proven experience in process scale-up

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong technical fundamentals in reactor design and process troubleshooting
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in pilot plant operations
• Proficiency in Aspen or equivalent flowsheet software
• Experience in technoeconomic analysis of novel processes
• Strong analytical, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
