Process Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design phase for CAPEX projects in accordance with GP11 workflow and Air Liquide Group standards.
• Prepare technical deliverables including P&IDs, Plot Plans, and Equipment Datasheets (EDS).
• Review and approve technical proposals from vendors to ensure equipment specifications align with project requirements.
• Conduct site visits to oversee construction and ensure physical installation complies with approved designs and safety protocols.
• Lead technical evaluations and documentation for Notice of Project Change (NPC) and perform necessary risk assessments.
• Support Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR) and Ready To Operate Reviews (RTOR) prior to commissioning.
• Assist in early project planning, including cost estimation and the development of Project Design Basis.
• Utilize AI tools and advanced engineering methodologies to optimize design efficiency and reduce lead times.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Process Engineering or Design within the gas or chemical industry.
• Proficiency in engineering design tools, specifically P&ID and 3D Piping/Layout tools.
• Practical experience in site construction coordination.
• Knowledge of industrial risk management processes, including HAZOP and MOC.
