About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the design, installation, and continuous improvement of electrical control systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Lead new program implementation, including SOR preparation, controls design, equipment build, and plant installation.
- Coordinate with multiple suppliers to manage deliveries according to program timing milestones.
- Provide technical direction to less experienced controls engineers and suppliers.
- Support existing programs and sites through troubleshooting and electrical controls system design.
- Provide project status reports to senior management and collaborate with various customers and plants.
- Travel up to 40% domestically and internationally as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience as a Process Engineer, Controls Engineer, Software Engineer, or in a related role.
- Proven experience with electrical and control systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming.
- Experience with Ethernet and Devicenet networks.
- Expertise in servo motors, motion control, and drives.
- Proficiency with Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems.
