About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and improve process control strategies to support stable and reliable unit operation
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues involving DCS, instrumentation, and network components
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to resolve operational challenges and improve unit performance
- Support and lead Management of Change (MOC) activities for control system modifications
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses related to control system reliability
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including control narratives, cause-and-effect diagrams, and alarm rationalization records
- Support turnaround planning, execution, and post-event evaluation
- Define control system scope for capital projects and ensure integration with existing infrastructure
- Maintain and improve advanced process control (APC) applications to drive economic performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in process control engineering within refining, petrochemical, or related industries
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Honeywell Experion PKS and/or TDC control systems
- Experience with alarm management and rationalization processes
- Experience supporting capital projects and Management of Change (MOC) processes
- Exposure to advanced process control (APC) applications
