Process Automation Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in implementing modernization and industrial transformation of process manufacturing assets.
• Ensure safe, reliable, and secure process automation systems within the assigned plant area.
• Coordinate automation deliverables with Operations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Develop team members through mentorship, training resources, and individual development plans.
• Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with Global Operations and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Manage third-party suppliers and contractors to support automation installations and tasks.
• Proactively mitigate risk and optimize processes through new technology and innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Process Automation, Engineering, or Manufacturing.
• Extensive experience with process control platforms such as Rockwell Plant PAx, Emerson DeltaV, Valmet (Novatech) D3, PI, Siemens, or Honeywell.
• Proven experience in intelligent process automation planning and development.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and participate in on-call duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience with direct reports.
• Experience with control system migration, modernization, and industrial transformation projects.
• Knowledge of continuous and batch process automation.
• Experience with Packaging, Warehouse Management, or Robotics.
• Working knowledge of Cybersecurity, OT networking, and system integration.
• Experience using lean methodologies like Toyota Production System or Danaher Business System.
