About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers in implementing modernization and industrial transformation of process manufacturing assets.
- Ensure safe, reliable, and secure process automation systems within the assigned plant area.
- Coordinate automation deliverables with Operations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop team members through mentorship, training resources, and individual development plans.
- Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with Global Operations and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Manage third-party suppliers and contractors to support automation installations and tasks.
- Proactively mitigate risk and optimize processes through new technology and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Process Automation, Engineering, or Manufacturing.
- Extensive experience with process control platforms such as Rockwell Plant PAx, Emerson DeltaV, Valmet (Novatech) D3, PI, Siemens, or Honeywell.
- Proven experience in intelligent process automation planning and development.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Willingness to travel domestically and participate in on-call duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience with direct reports.
- Experience with control system migration, modernization, and industrial transformation projects.
- Knowledge of continuous and batch process automation.
- Experience with Packaging, Warehouse Management, or Robotics.
- Working knowledge of Cybersecurity, OT networking, and system integration.
- Experience using lean methodologies like Toyota Production System or Danaher Business System.
