About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and automation support for the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of process equipment
  • Support the operation and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and control systems used in biopharmaceutical production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide automation support for production and ancillary equipment
  • Assist in the qualification of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems
  • Support investigations, change controls, audits, and maintenance history reviews
  • Provide operational support on the manufacturing floor and cover second-shift requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with experience, an Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma with 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with DCS, Emerson DeltaV, Allen-Bradley PLC, or OSI PI products
  • Experience in a biotechnology manufacturing or laboratory environment
  • Ability to execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain compliant documentation
  • Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment and manage a second-shift schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a Biological Pilot Plant or Commercial Manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with automation networks such as Ethernet, DH+, or Control Net
  • Experience with relational databases like SQL or Oracle
  • Experience with facility/equipment commissioning and qualification
  • Proficiency using AI tools to support problem-solving and enhance productivity
