Process and Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify and lead quality and process improvements by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
• Resolve daily production-related quality issues using data analysis methods
• Interface with cross-functional teams regarding quality, new product introduction, capacity, and planning
• Validate packaging systems using various testing protocols
• Analyze data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
• Support "stop ship" or "quality alert" meetings and implement corrective actions
• Perform root cause analysis using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, including 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto charts, and Histograms
• Lead the resolution and reduction of escaping customer quality issues

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Systems, or Manufacturing)
• Minimum of 6 months of applicable experience
• Proficiency in statistical methods and Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Strong understanding of root cause analysis and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software
• Six Sigma exposure or certification
• Experience with packaging validation and testing
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing mindsets
