About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage new product introduction and production support engineering for specific product groups.
  • Interface with design, process, test, reliability, and manufacturing engineering teams to resolve technical and production issues.
  • Develop and sustain process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields.
  • Provide technical support for production, including quality testing reviews and troubleshooting of technical problems.
  • Coordinate processing, technical, and quality activities within the department.
  • Maintain rubber technology knowledge and provide technical decision-making support to factory floor operators.
  • Manage recipes and accompany mixing or processing trials to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Monitor and report on processing and quality KPIs, such as waste and customer complaints.
  • Maintain and improve quality systems to meet ISO:9001-2015 and internal standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in product introductions, equipment installation, and production/process support.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship provided for this role).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comprehensive experience in rubber or plastic production processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting rubber compound issues.
  • Cross-functional experience in engineering, quality, or supply chain.
  • Experience working with international teams and understanding diverse cultures.
