About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the firm’s pro bono initiatives and operations, providing case management for large-scale and long-term projects
- Implement and maintain tracking systems to monitor active matters and ensure adherence to deadlines
- Assist with the organization, intake, and review of new pro bono matters
- Interface with pro bono clients, legal services organizations, and nonprofit stakeholders
- Manage the pro bono practice calendar, including trainings, events, and reporting deadlines
- Prepare statistical and narrative reports for client requests, bar associations, and industry publications
- Assist in the production of the firm’s annual Pro Bono Report and update internal/external website materials
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the department
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2-3 years of administrative or coordinator experience (legal, nonprofit, or charitable settings preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong project management and program coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a law firm or legal setting
- Demonstrated ability to utilize AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity
