Private Piano Instructor

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized piano lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Create and implement tailored lesson plans addressing technique, music theory, sight-reading, and rhythm
• Select appropriate repertoire across a variety of musical styles and genres
• Prepare students for performances, auditions, and competitions
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and families
• Collaborate with other music instructors to coordinate recitals, workshops, and school events
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and repertoire

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Piano Performance, or a related field
• Proven experience teaching piano to students across a range of ages and skill levels
• Strong understanding of music theory, technique, and pedagogy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a school environment, subject to successful background and screening checks
• Availability to teach during flexible hours, including after school

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Music or Piano Performance
