About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of a diverse, multi-country portfolio of high-value donor relationships and major gifts.
  • Develop, test, and implement joint fundraising strategies and action plans with structured philanthropy partners.
  • Identify and pursue collaborative opportunities with corporates, foundations, trusts, and other philanthropic actors.
  • Build personalized joint stewardship plans to deepen donor relationships and support long-term commitment.
  • Contribute to the development of tailored fundraising tools, proposals, reports, and engagement platforms.
  • Ensure accurate registration of pledges, contributions, and follow-up actions within the CRM.
  • Monitor trends in corporate philanthropy and foundation giving to bring forward innovative fundraising approaches.

Requirements

  • 6 to 9 years of professional experience, including significant experience in major gifts fundraising.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field of education.
  • 3 years of experience in developing and implementing donor engagement plans.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages such as French, Arabic, Spanish, German, or Italian are a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in using databases and CRM systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement or another humanitarian organization.
  • Exposure to multi-country or regional fundraising and partnership development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of philanthropic landscapes and ecosystems, particularly in Europe.
