About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a global strategy and action plan for major donors, including UHNWIs, family foundations, and family offices.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors in Switzerland and priority countries to ensure long-term financial support.
- Plan and execute targeted engagement actions and monitor donor interactions to advance relationships.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design tailor-made fundraising tools and products for multi-year funding.
- Identify, research, and qualify new major donor prospects using internal databases and external sources.
- Contribute to the development of concept notes, proposals, and content for fundraising events.
Requirements
- University degree in marketing, business administration, fundraising, communication, international affairs, or social sciences.
- 6 to 9 years of professional experience in business development, major donor fundraising, or a related discipline.
- Native German or Swiss-German speaker with full professional proficiency in English.
- In-depth knowledge of philanthropic ecosystems and fundraising principles for HNWIs.
- Proven ability to manage a robust account management portfolio.
- Strong CRM management skills and computer proficiency.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in French or Italian.
- Experience drafting complex communication and engagement strategies.
- Ability to summarize complex humanitarian subjects into compelling concepts for diverse audiences.
