Private Mortgage Banker

Responsibilities

• Solicit residential mortgages and produce high-quality jumbo loans for affluent borrowers
• Build and maintain relationships with realtors, builders, financial professionals, and past customers
• Develop marketplace visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and stay informed on industry trends
• Analyze financial and credit data to match customer needs with appropriate loan programs and risk levels
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating rates, policies, and underwriting requirements proactively
• Ensure compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act and all related regulatory requirements

Requirements

• 2+ years of Private Mortgage Banking Sales experience or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAFE registration
• Knowledge of real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions
• Proficiency in analyzing financial and credit data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working specifically with high-net-worth clients
• Documented retail residential mortgage fundings from established local sources over the past 12 months
• Strong sales prospecting and referral generation skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
