Private Mortgage Banker (SAFE)

Responsibilities

• Solicit residential jumbo mortgages from various sources to drive high-quality production
• Build and maintain relationships with affluent borrowers, realtors, builders, and financial professionals
• Analyze financial and credit data to match customer needs with appropriate loan programs and risk levels
• Provide excellent customer service by quoting rates, managing registration locks, and maintaining proactive communication
• Stay informed of mortgage industry trends and maintain visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace
• Ensure all loan production is compliant with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• 2+ years of Private Mortgage Banking Sales experience (or equivalent through training, military, or education)
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAFE registration at the time of employment
• Knowledge of real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions
• Ability to analyze low to moderately complex financial and credit data
• Reliable transportation and ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Documented retail residential mortgage fundings over the past 12 months from established local sources
• Experience working specifically with high-net-worth clients
• Strong knowledge of sales prospecting and referral generation
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
