Private Mortgage Banker (SAFE)

Responsibilities

• Solicit residential jumbo mortgages and build relationships with affluent borrowers, realtors, builders, and financial professionals.
• Produce high-quality, compliant jumbo loans while providing excellent customer service.
• Develop and maintain high visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the assigned market.
• Analyze financial and credit data to match customer needs with appropriate loan programs and risk levels.
• Inform customers of mortgage programs, rates, policies, and underwriting requirements.
• Manage customer applications, quote rates and points, and complete follow-up activities including registration lock-ins.
• Maintain compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Private Mortgage Banking Sales experience (or equivalent through training, military, or education).
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAFE registration.
• Knowledge of real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions.
• Ability to analyze complex financial and credit data.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Documented retail residential mortgage fundings over the past 12 months from established local sources.
• Experience working specifically with high-net-worth clients.
• Strong knowledge of sales prospecting and referral generation.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
