Private Market Onboarding Analyst

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end KYC, CDD, and EDD for private market clients, including private equity funds, venture capital firms, hedge funds, SPVs, and trusts.
• Perform enhanced due diligence for high-risk clients, focusing on complex ownership layers, high-risk jurisdictions, and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
• Identify and verify Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) and assess Source of Wealth (SoW) and Source of Funds (SoF).
• Ensure all onboarding activities align with FINTRAC, FinCEN, and internal AML/CTF regulatory requirements.
• Perform sanctions and adverse media screening using approved industry tools.
• Partner with Sales, Relationship Management, and Legal teams to facilitate efficient onboarding and provide guidance on compliance expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AML/KYC, specifically with exposure to private markets or complex fund structures.
• AMS certification.
• Strong knowledge of complex corporate structures, including trusts and SPVs.
• Proficiency with screening tools such as LexisNexis or Bridger.
• Deep understanding of AML/CTF regulations and cross-border regulatory frameworks.
