About the role

Responsibilities

  • Determine strategic placement of new accounts through coverage analysis and product knowledge
  • Act as an advisor to clients, making recommendations and leading the renewal process
  • Create comprehensive insurance proposals after carrier negotiations
  • Negotiate with underwriters to implement best possible solutions for clients
  • Manage the claims reporting process and maintain client contact until resolution
  • Analyze home appraisals against current policy coverages for accuracy
  • Drive renewal strategies by analyzing insurance programs and marketplace opportunities
  • Process endorsement requests and manage daily suspense reports
  • Assist with administrative duties including mail, phones, and document scanning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or two+ years of related experience
  • Ability to train for and obtain a New York State Property & Casualty license
  • High level of professionalism in written and oral communication
  • Strong organizational skills for managing documents and electronic information
