About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of an exceptional customer experience to private banking clients through professional service and relationship selling.
- Identify customer needs and match them with appropriate products or services, including making referrals to other BMO employees.
- Assist in preparing new business proposals and presentations for clients and prospects.
- Provide timely and accurate support to Private Bankers by completing credit and non-credit activities.
- Take ownership of client inquiries, concerns, and complaints to ensure timely resolution.
- Adhere to all banking, investment, and lending regulations, policies, and risk guidelines.
- Monitor overdraft and other reports to take necessary actions in collaboration with the Private Banker.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of integrated private banking services and the strategic direction of the business.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in a banking or financial services environment.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must meet all necessary licensing and certification requirements for the specific jurisdiction.
- Working knowledge of personal and commercial credit products and monitoring processes.
- Basic understanding of the lending process and supporting policies.
- Knowledge of loan and security documentation, including registration and renewal routines.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
