Private Banking Officer

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of an exceptional customer experience to private banking clients through professional service and relationship selling
• Identify customer needs and match them with appropriate products or services, including making referrals to other BMO employees
• Assist in preparing new business proposals and presentations for clients and prospects
• Provide timely and accurate support to Private Bankers by completing credit and non-credit activities
• Take ownership of client inquiries, concerns, and complaints to ensure timely resolution
• Review overdraft and other monitoring reports and take appropriate action
• Adhere to all banking, investment, and lending regulations, policies, and risk guidelines
• Follow security and safeguarding procedures to prevent fraud, money laundering, or other losses

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in a banking or financial services environment
• Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Working knowledge of personal and commercial credit, non-credit products, and monitoring processes
• Basic knowledge of the lending process and supporting policies
• Understanding of loan and security documentation, including registration and renewal routines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team
