Privacy & AI Governance Counsel

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate DPAs, BAAs, data-sharing agreements, and AI-specific commercial contracts.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to lead Privacy by Design (PbD) processes and conduct AI Risk/Impact Assessments.
• Develop and maintain privacy and AI governance policies, standards, playbooks, and SOPs.
• Manage cookie compliance, Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs), and Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
• Respond to customer inquiries and questionnaires regarding privacy and AI practices.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable risk-mitigation advice for internal stakeholders.
• Monitor global regulatory changes and conduct periodic privacy maturity assessments.

Requirements

• JD and/or LLM degree and an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of legal experience specializing in Privacy and AI, ideally within a global SaaS or technology environment.
• In-depth understanding of global privacy laws including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, and the EU AI Act.
• Active IAPP CIPP/E or CIPP/US certification (required).
• Hands-on experience executing compliance programs using the OneTrust platform.
• Familiarity with control frameworks such as ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, FedRAMP, or DORA.

Preferred Qualifications

• AIGP certification.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, global environment across multiple time zones.
