About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach one five-hour studio class per semester with a maximum of fifteen students
- Supervise independent student projects (Conference Work) as part of the studio curriculum
- Teach one two-hour studio seminar or concept class per academic year
- Maintain a studio environment that utilizes nontoxic printmaking methodologies
- Spend at least two days on campus each semester for in-person instruction
Requirements
- At least two years of undergraduate teaching experience
- Proficiency in silkscreen, relief, artists' books, and intaglio
- Knowledge of nontoxic printmaking methodologies
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital processes integrated with traditional printmaking (e.g., scanners, vinyl cutters, open source software)
- Strong exhibition record
- Ability to teach students with varying levels of studio experience within a liberal arts context
- Commitment to equity, justice, and social engagement in art and society
