About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach one five-hour studio class per semester with a maximum of fifteen students
  • Supervise independent student projects (Conference Work) as part of the studio curriculum
  • Teach one two-hour studio seminar or concept class per academic year
  • Maintain a studio environment that utilizes nontoxic printmaking methodologies
  • Spend at least two days on campus each semester for in-person instruction

Requirements

  • At least two years of undergraduate teaching experience
  • Proficiency in silkscreen, relief, artists' books, and intaglio
  • Knowledge of nontoxic printmaking methodologies
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with digital processes integrated with traditional printmaking (e.g., scanners, vinyl cutters, open source software)
  • Strong exhibition record
  • Ability to teach students with varying levels of studio experience within a liberal arts context
  • Commitment to equity, justice, and social engagement in art and society
