Printing Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate large-format inkjet printers (UV, solvent, latex) for banners, backdrops, and fabric prints
• Prepare print-ready files using RIP software and manage colour profiles
• Calibrate printers and perform colour proofing for Pantone/CMYK accuracy
• Select appropriate print media such as vinyl, fabric, canvas, and mesh
• Perform finishing operations including cutting, laminating, and mounting
• Conduct quality control inspections for colour accuracy and surface defects
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and manage print inventory
• Support the application of printed wraps and graphics onto fabricated structures

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in large-format printing for events or signage
• Proficiency with RIP software such as Caldera, Onyx, or ErgoSoft
• Strong colour management skills and ICC profile creation experience
• Hands-on experience with UV, latex, and solvent printing platforms
• Knowledge of various substrates including vinyl, mesh, and backlit film
• Ability to operate cutting plotters and laminators
• Ability to work in a workshop environment and meet tight event deadlines
