Principle Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements for embedded software applications and formulate innovative solutions in resource-constrained environments
• Implement software to meet design requirements and implementation standards
• Perform unit, integration, and qualification testing of embedded software
• Document design and test specifications
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
• Manage firmware development projects and participate in peer reviews
• Adopt AI in all aspects of the development process
• Interact with Silicon Development and Applications groups to develop next-generation embedded touch controllers

Requirements

• B.Sc. or B.Eng in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of industrial experience in the embedded firmware domain
• Very strong C programming skills in an embedded environment
• In-depth experience with microcontroller peripherals
• Ability to read and understand device datasheets, application notes, and PCB schematics
• AI literacy
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle and development tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry standards such as CMMi, Automotive SPICE™, ISO-26262, or IEC/UL-60730
