Principal/Senior Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and review of spacecraft system engineering, including requirement derivation and verification techniques
• Manage vehicle performance budgets, test methods, and data analysis
• Perform simulation and analysis
• Provide technical leadership for future architectures, platforms, and payloads
• Lead system and subsystem architectural developments for existing missions
• Assist with program and product management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• U.S. citizenship required
• 12+ years of experience for Principal or 15+ years for Senior Principal level
• Deep understanding of spacecraft subsystems, space environment, orbital mechanics, and rigid body dynamics
• Experience with satellite operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in an engineering or technical discipline
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, and STK
• Experience with electrical subsystem testing, thermal vacuum, random vibration, or hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing
