Principal/MTS Wet Process Development Engineer, DRAM Wet Process (Evergreen)

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of advanced wet process applications, including wet cleans, etches, vapor-phase processes, strip processes, bevel etch, and copper plating.
• Translate device scaling requirements into actionable wet process technology roadmaps and identify technical gaps to meet critical specifications.
• Perform rigorous root cause analysis and implement robust, high-volume manufacturing (HVM) compatible solutions using fundamentals in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
• Collaborate with PI and module teams to solve complex integrated process challenges and communicate technical risks to senior leadership.
• Partner with equipment and chemical vendors to develop next-generation solutions and influence vendor technology roadmaps.
• Drive program-level technical direction, including feasibility studies and early-stage development.

Requirements

• PhD with 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience or a Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience.
• 7+ years of experience leading critical projects with measurable impact.
• Deep expertise in wet process development and lab-to-fab technology transfer.
• Strong fundamentals in reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and transport phenomena.
• Proven problem-solving skills using structured root cause and model-based approaches.

• Experience applying AI, data science, or advanced analytics to process development.
• Skills in coding, automation, or data-driven optimization.
• Ability to operate independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
