Principal/Associate Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of major water supply infrastructure to ensure sustainable water security
• Coordinate project teams to ensure excellent technical delivery within budget and programme
• Produce and review engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, and reports
• Proactively manage design risk to deliver constructable solutions
• Represent the company in client meetings to build strong professional relationships
• Contribute to technical excellence and commercial success through forecasting, risk management, and bid production
• Review Health, Safety, and Welfare alongside environmental impacts in accordance with global standards

Requirements

• Chartered Status (CEng) with a recognised Professional Institution
• Demonstrable technical experience in water design and the management of design teams
• Proven ability to deliver complex technical projects while ensuring quality assurance
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams (environmental, geotechnical, structural, etc.)
• Good understanding of designers' responsibilities under CDM regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Track record in building team capability and mentoring junior staff
• Experience in preparing successful bids and undertaking direct client engagement
• Ability to travel to various offices and sites as required
