Principal User Experience Designer

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term experience vision for workflows across mobile, web, and agentic surfaces
• Own the end-to-end experience strategy to ensure usability, scalability, and efficiency in complex field environments
• Lead design work from discovery through implementation, maintaining a high bar for craft and execution quality
• Influence product roadmap and prioritization by identifying opportunity areas and systemic user challenges
• Partner with product managers, engineering leads, and researchers to align on direction and ensure technical feasibility
• Guide and elevate design quality through critique, mentorship, and establishing best practices
• Create compelling artifacts including journey maps, system models, and prototypes to drive stakeholder alignment

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional UX or product design experience leading complex, workflow-heavy product areas
• Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end ownership of mobile and web products, including data-driven workflows
• Proven ability to define experience strategy and influence product direction
• Deep expertise in translating complex user needs into scalable, intuitive interaction models
• Strong proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills for presenting to cross-functional leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise or workflow-heavy SaaS products
• Experience designing for construction tech, field-based, or mobile-first users
• Experience designing agentic or AI-assisted interaction models
• Experience contributing to design systems that support complex workflows
• Experience mentoring designers and elevating team design standards
